Terms & Conditions
Version 2026-08-04
1. Who we are
Plato is operated by Plato Legal AI Limited (“we”, “us”). The platform’s legal content is curated by, and matters you hand over are handled by, Yiasemis LLC, a law firm in the Republic of Cyprus regulated by the Cyprus Bar Association. These Terms govern your use of the Plato platform (the “Service”).
2. Information, not legal advice
The Service provides general legal information about Cyprus law and self-service drafting tools. It does not provide legal advice and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship with Yiasemis LLC. A lawyer–client relationship, and any privileged or confidential engagement, begins only if and when Yiasemis LLC separately confirms an engagement with you in writing. You should not act on information from the Service without obtaining advice appropriate to your circumstances.
3. AI-generated content
Answers and draft documents are generated by AI grounded in a curated corpus of Cyprus legal materials. They may be incomplete, may not reflect the most recent changes in the law, and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before being relied upon. Drafts are starting points, not finished or executable documents.
4. Eligibility and accounts
Access is by invitation during early release. You must provide accurate registration details, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Accounts are personal to you and may not be shared.
5. Subscription, fees and renewal
During the current free pilot, membership is provided at no charge and no fees are payable; the remainder of this clause applies from the launch of paid memberships, and you will be asked to subscribe expressly before any fee is ever charged. Membership is offered on a monthly subscription of €79 per month, with no minimum commitment. The subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period. Fees are stated exclusive of any applicable VAT unless otherwise stated. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and in accordance with our Fair Usage Policy. You must not misuse the Service, attempt to circumvent access controls, scrape or bulk-extract content, resell or redistribute outputs as a competing service, or use the Service to provide legal services to third parties as if they were your own.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, and the underlying corpus, precedents and cover notes are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by law. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service and the documents you generate for your own legitimate purposes during your subscription.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information or drafts produced by the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with applicable Cyprus and EU data-protection law (including the GDPR). Full details of what we collect, why, who receives it and your rights are in our Privacy Notice.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified and the version updated. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections.
