Fair Usage Policy

1. Purpose
This policy keeps Plato fast, available and affordable for everyone. It supplements our Terms & Conditions and applies to all use of the Service.
2. Reasonable, personal use
Membership is intended for the genuine professional use of one named subscriber. Please use the Service in the ordinary course of your own work. Sustained, automated, or volume use that goes well beyond normal individual use may be rate-limited.
3. What’s not allowed
Please do not: share your account or credentials; scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content or outputs; use bots or scripts to access the Service; resell, sublicense or redistribute answers, drafts or the corpus; use the Service to build or train a competing product; or attempt to probe, overload, or circumvent the platform’s security or access controls.
4. Drafting and answers
The drafting and answer tools are for your own matters. Generating documents to provide legal services to third parties, or in volumes inconsistent with individual professional use, falls outside fair usage.
5. If usage exceeds fair limits
Where usage materially exceeds fair limits, we may contact you, apply rate limits, or discuss an appropriate plan. We will act reasonably and proportionately, and only suspend access for serious or repeated breaches.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves; the version above is updated on any material change.
